The passing of Keke Jabbar, the star of “Love & Marriage: Huntsville,” at the age of 42, led to an outpouring of grief on July 3, 2024. Marcella Sparks, relaying a message from Jabbar’s family, confirmed her death. In a statement, Sparks expressed, “It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Keke,” on her YouTube channel (via People). She described Jabbar as a mother, sister, and a dear friend overflowing with vitality, love, and laughter. Sparks requested privacy for the family during this sorrowful time.

At present, the cause of Jabbar’s demise remains unknown. However, a friend of hers, JoAnn Jenkins, mentioned that she might have died from carbon monoxide poisoning after dozing off in her car, which had been experiencing issues. Jenkins shared that Jabbar had a habit of falling asleep in random places due to being frequently drowsy. Upon finding her unresponsive in her car, Jabbar’s husband attempted to revive her but unfortunately was unsuccessful.

Jenkins refuted claims of an overdose or suicide, debunking speculations related to Jabbar’s past struggles with substance use showcased on the show. With Jabbar’s untimely death, she joins the list of celebrities who passed away in 2024, leaving behind three children.
