Travis Kelce had more on his mind than just the Chiefs’ nail-biting 19-17 win over the LA Chargers.
Besides celebrating the team’s AFC West title, the tight end appeared eager to catch the last performance of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour happening simultaneously in Vancouver.
Swift’s concert in Vancouver was the 149th and final show of her global Eras Tour, covering 53 cities. Kelce, who has attended 14 of Swift’s concerts since they started dating last year, had to miss the finale due to his NFL obligations. However, his postgame reactions made it obvious that he was anxious to finish his interviews.
Kelce’s eagerness was evident
Fans of Taylor Swift, affectionately known as Swifties, quickly noticed Kelce’s lack of enthusiasm while he spoke to the media in the locker room after the match.
“He looks like he’d rather be anywhere else,” one fan remarked.
Others chimed in, humorously suggesting that Kelce just wanted to hurry home and enjoy the concert.
“Missing ‘1989’ is not an option,” one fan tweeted.
“Politely, please let me go home and support my girl,” another fan humorously imagined him saying.
Now that the Eras Tour has wrapped up, both Kelce and Swift can focus more on their relationship. With Swift’s tour concluded, she will have more chances to attend Kelce’s upcoming Chiefs games.
So far in 2024, she has been present at five of Kelce’s matches, with four regular-season games still to go. The Chiefs’ schedule ahead includes a home game against the Houston Texans on December 21 and road games against the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Denver Broncos.
While Swift hasn’t yet seen a Chiefs road game this season, she frequently supported Kelce during the 2023 season, even attending Super Bowl LVIII to celebrate the Chiefs’ victory with him on the field.
With the Eras Tour officially behind them, Swift will have ample time to cheer for her boyfriend, and the Chiefs will surely be hopeful for continued success as the season comes to a close.
