An Australian TV host expressed strong disapproval towards the demeanor of Ben Affleck during his promotion of the movie Air in 2023, stating that he appeared rude and uninterested.
Sarah Ferguson, a former anchor on Australia’s 7.30 morning show, criticized the actor for his lack of engagement during the interview, where he maintained a serious tone, didn’t smile, and only answered a few questions before abruptly ending the session.
“He was just rude, not interested, going through the motions,” stated Ferguson to the Sydney Morning Herald, joining others in criticizing Affleck’s subdued attitude, which has been speculated to have played a role in the reported breakup with Jennifer Lopez.
The Oscar winner and the music star, aged 55, got married in 2022, following their reunion after 20 years apart, but recent reports suggest that they are now headed for a divorce, with papers seemingly already prepared.
Ferguson, who has children and a stepchild with Tony Jones, shared her joy in relocating to Sydney after residing in Canberra, describing the experience with her children as heartwarming.
“It’s so cute, I want to die! The reward of this period of time,” mentioned Ferguson about Cosmo and Lucien Jones. “I could honestly just cry into our plates.
“Having children is lovely and being a working mother is so hard – that period of school and all the micro-anxieties that are there for a mother. So when they grow up and they’re doing their own washing and they’re okay, they’re good people, it is possible to love them even more.”
Affleck’s Relocation
Affleck signaled a potential end to his relationship with Lopez by moving to a new $20 million residence in the secluded Pacific Palisades area of California, seeking privacy amidst the lush greenery to distance himself from urban life.
The discreet location of the new house aims to shield the 51-year-old actor from media attention, which reportedly caused strain in his marriage.
With no recent sightings of the couple together and them spending important occasions separately, like Lopez’s birthday and their anniversary, it appears that they are unlikely to reunite for Affleck’s 52nd birthday on August 15.
