Zach Bryan and Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia have ended their year-long relationship. The country musician announced the breakup on his Instagram Story, sharing his admiration and gratitude for LaPaglia, famous for her Barstool Sports involvement.
In his touching post to his 4.7 million followers, the 28-year-old Bryan expressed appreciation for LaPaglia’s steadfast support.
“She has loved me unconditionally for a long time, and I will always be grateful for that,” Bryan shared.
Bryan mentioned that he had faced a challenging year personally and felt it was best for both of them to part ways without detailing the reasons.
“I am far from perfect,” he noted.
“To everyone I let down, I’m sorry. I genuinely try, but I have disappointed those who care for me and myself,” he stated.
LaPaglia’s response and surrounding rumors
In response to Bryan’s post, LaPaglia took to Instagram to share her surprise, saying she felt “blindsided” by the decision and intended to take a break from social media to focus on recovery.
“I will return when I’m ready to share more,” she stated.
Speculation about their split arose earlier when images from Bryan’s profile on the dating app Raya surfaced on social media. Additionally, LaPaglia shared a mysterious poem hinting at moving forward.
“Eventually, you’ll realize that life’s progression is inevitable, even if you resist,” she conveyed.
Despite their strong bond, insiders shared that the relationship had “always been tumultuous,” with Bryan’s lifestyle contributing to their difficulties.
Bryan and LaPaglia started dating in July 2023, following Bryan’s previous relationship with Deb Peifer, which ended after a year.
The couple made their red carpet debut together in February at the 2024 Grammy Awards, where Bryan celebrated winning his first award for the duet “I Remember Everything” alongside Kacey Musgraves.
However, their relationship was marred by cheating allegations against Bryan. In March, LaPaglia defended him during her “BFFs” podcast, clarifying that the alleged incident occurred before their romance began.
