In 2019, Jenna Ortega expressed her desire to “break away” from the Disney Channel mold after her work on “Stuck in the Middle.” In the years since, she has certainly achieved that goal and more. Ortega told POPSUGAR in December 2019 that her aim in acting was to avoid being typecast.
