Disney has unveiled a new “Special Look” trailer for Moana 2, generating excitement for another animated journey. Slated for release on November 27, 2024, this film arrives just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. The trailer begins with Moana, once more voiced by Auli’i Cravalho, as she receives an unanticipated message from her ancestor wayfinders. This prompts her to embark on a daring exploration of the uncharted oceans of Oceania, where she encounters both human and mythical threats. With breathtaking visuals and high-stakes adventure, Moana 2 is set to delve deeper into the enchanting world of its predecessor, revealing mysterious waters teeming with sea monsters and ancestral ties.

Certainly, Auli’i Cravalho isn’t the only familiar voice returning; Dwayne Johnson is back as the lively demigod Maui, and Alan Tudyk reprises his role as the endearing rooster, Hei Hei. The film is directed by David G. Derrick Jr., who is making his debut in this role, alongside co-directors Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller. Fans can look forward to a memorable score crafted by Grammy Award winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, as well as contributions from Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina.
