Marvel Studios caused a stir at San Diego Comic-Con by providing fans with a sneak peek at Galactus in their upcoming movie, The Fantastic Four: First Steps. This highly awaited reveal took place at the Hall H panel, where attendees were treated to what was termed as “test footage.” Even though the actual filming will not commence until the following year, the footage offered an enticing glimpse into the future of the MCU.
The footage, referred to as a “mood board,” featured nostalgic 1960s elements, memorable scenes with The Thing, and climaxed with a breathtaking introduction of Galactus. Described as a “massive cosmic entity” peering through a building, this initial glimpse of Galactus has raised the bar for the film.
Cast of Characters in The Fantastic Four: First Steps
The casting choices for The Fantastic Four: First Steps have generated excitement among fans. The film stars Pedro Pascal as the ingenious Reed Richards, aka Mister Fantastic, and Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman. Joseph Quinn takes on the role of Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, while Ebon Moss-Bachrach portrays Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing. With Julia Garner playing a “Shalla-Bal version” of the Silver Surfer, the intrigue deepens.
Ralph Ineson, known for his part in Harry Potter, embodies the colossal Galactus. Additionally, John Malkovich, Paul Walter Hauser, and Natasha Lyonne are set to make appearances in undisclosed roles, adding to the film’s star-studded lineup.
