Journey to bring Vietnamese bird’s nest product to China

In the first half of 2024, Vietnam’s economy displayed a noticeable recovery, with the GDP growing by almost 7% in the second quarter, contributing to an overall growth of 6.42% in the first half.

Khanh Hoa province demonstrated significant progress after two challenging years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, emphasizing green initiatives and innovative approaches for growth.

A series by VietNamNet, “Khanh Hoa Reinvents Growth Drivers,” highlights the locality’s journey of overcoming obstacles and embracing new trends.

The series includes segments on green growth, high-tech farming, the green revolution, eco-tourism success, and strategies for economic resurgence.

Bringing Bird’s Nest Products to China

Chairwoman Trinh Thi Hong Van led a tour of the Sanvinest Khanh Hoa Raw Material Processing Factory, outlining the process from raw bird’s nest to finished products reaching the market.

The factory, with 1,200 workers, operates at full capacity, processing 10 tons of raw bird’s nest into various products like natural bird’s nests, essence, and drinks.

The company ensures the sourcing of raw bird’s nests from affiliated birdhouses using transferred farming technology, backed by QR codes for product traceability.

Besides the domestic market, the company exports its bird’s nest products to countries like the US, Australia, Canada, Japan, and recently, China through official channels.

Selling bird’s nests in Western markets poses challenges due to consumer unfamiliarity, while the Chinese market, being well-versed with the product, presents vast opportunities.
