The 2024/2025 season is starting soon with the Super Cup match between Nam Dinh and Thanh Hoa FCs at the end of August as announced by the Vietnam Professional Football (VPF).
Despite the late start of the V-League season, Coach Kim Sang Sik is keeping busy preparing for the upcoming challenges. While the break between seasons allows players to rest and teams to enhance their squads, it limits opportunities for Kim to assess players in live games.
Using this gap, Coach Kim is thoroughly studying past matches, analyzing player performances, and refining tactical strategies to get ready for the next training camp in September. With limited exposure to Vietnamese football, he is dedicated to understanding his players’ strengths and weaknesses through video analysis.
In the absence of live matches, Coach Kim Sang Sik is focused on evaluating past performances of the Vietnam national team to make tactical adjustments and uncover potential new talents. He may consider adding new players to the squad based on his assessments rather than relying solely on previous recommendations.
While video analysis is beneficial, it cannot replace the insights gained from watching games live. The success of Coach Kim’s preparations will be tested in September when the Vietnam national team gathers again, aiming for victory in the upcoming ASEAN Cup championship later in the year.
