American traveler, Adam, and Canadian traveler, Kathryn, have a shared love for exploring the world. With a worldwide travel record including countries like Germany, Thailand, and Vietnam, the couple shares their adventures on a popular YouTube channel followed by 200,000 subscribers.
During their trip to Vietnam, they indulged in the country’s highlights such as taking a luxurious train ride from HCM City to Da Nang, exploring Tu Lan Cave in Quang Binh, and motorbiking in the picturesque region of Ha Giang.
For Adam and Kathryn, this journey stood out as their most memorable and significant travel experience yet.
Vietnam’s bustling cities, delectable street food, rich history, and captivating scenery make it a remarkable destination for international tourists.
One of the standout moments of their trip was the train ride onboard the exclusive 5-star train.
“Opting for the train journey allowed us to witness the diverse landscapes of Vietnam. It was truly captivating,” shared Kathryn.
To ensure comfort and privacy, they booked a VIP air-conditioned sleeper cabin, priced at VND2 million per ticket.
They were impressed by the well-appointed cabin with its clean linens, soft pillows, and convenient amenities like a coffee table and storage compartments.
The cabin, designed for two passengers, provided a cozy and private space that made the journey more relaxing for the couple.
As the train departed in the evening, Adam and Kathryn settled in for some rest. Despite occasional issues with the air conditioning, they found the overall experience delightful.
While Kathryn encountered some difficulty sleeping due to the heat, prompt assistance from the train staff resolved the issue swiftly.
The interrupted sleep was a small tradeoff for the breathtaking views of the countryside, complete with buffaloes in the fields, mountains, and the ocean, unfolding outside their window as they traveled.
Unwinding at the dawn of the day, they visited the train’s kitchen for a refreshing breakfast, savoring a delicious cup of coffee to kickstart their day.
The couple appreciated the rich flavor of the coffee that was sweetened with condensed milk, making it a delightful morning treat.
Adam described the coffee as having a bold taste reminiscent of hot chocolate, and they happily replenished their cups from the onboard vending machine.
Upon reaching Da Nang at 4 pm, Kathryn found solace in the city’s tranquility, a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Continuing their adventure, they headed to Hoi An in Quang Nam province, located just 35 kilometers from Da Nang, via a scenic car ride.
