Search underway as tourist falls into sea while taking photos in Ninh Thuan

Incident at Phuoc Dinh Beach

On September 21, around midday, four friends from Lam Dong province enjoyed a trip to Phuoc Dinh beach in Ninh Thuan, attracting many visitors for its picturesque scenes and tumultuous waves against rocky cliffs.

During their time there, C.D.D., a 25-year-old, accidentally slipped into the ocean. The powerful waves rapidly carried him away, prompting the group to search for him in the vicinity. When their search came up empty, they called for help from local emergency services.

A coordinated rescue operation began, enlisting the support of local authorities, the Border Guard, and a team of over 20 divers from Brigade 5 Water Special Forces based in Ninh Thuan, who have been actively searching for the individual.

The missing person is approximately 1.50 meters tall, weighs around 60 kilograms, has short black hair, and features a mole located 1 cm to the right of his lip. At the time of the accident, he was wearing a green-and-white striped shirt paired with black shorts.

As of now, efforts to locate him are ongoing, but he remains unaccounted for.
