On the morning of October 10, a national ceremony was held at the National Conference Center to mark the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s liberation. This occasion is a pivotal part of the celebrations for this historic event.
The gathering featured attendance from party leaders, state officials, representatives from various ministries, officials from Hanoi, international guests, as well as delegates from provinces and cities nationwide.
The ceremony paid tribute to many figures including veterans of the revolution, heroic mothers, heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, labor champions, and representatives from groups of revolutionary soldiers who were captured and imprisoned. It also recognized veterans, former youth volunteers, cultural artists, intellectuals, religious leaders, and members of the armed forces of the capital.
The commemorative address will be delivered by General Secretary and President To Lam, representing the leadership of the Party and State.
Throughout the event, both historical witnesses and younger attendees will express their feelings of pride regarding the capital and the nation.
