Trinh Thu Vinh’s impressive seventh-place finish in the 25m women’s sports pistol event marked a significant milestone, making her the top-performing female shooter from Vietnam at the Olympics. Looking ahead, Thu Vinh remains hopeful and determined to seize future opportunities for growth.
Reflecting on her performance, Thu Vinh shared, “I gave my best, adhering to my coach’s strategies to push past my limits. I made improvements in my rapid-fire performance compared to previous performances. Despite the tough competition, I fell short of winning a medal.”
While not clinching an Olympic medal, Thu Vinh stood out as the leading female shooter in the competition. She expressed her dedication and disappointment at not achieving a podium finish.
Expressing her gratitude and regret, Thu Vinh said, “I extend my apologies and appreciation to the leaders, fans, and media for their unwavering support. I look forward to continued guidance and support from my coaches to elevate my performance levels.
Through the Paris Olympics experience, I have gained valuable insights to enhance myself for future endeavors. I am committed to rigorous training to deliver outstanding results, fulfilling the hopes and love from everyone,” shared the 24-year-old athlete.
Concluding her Olympic journey after making it to the finals in both events, Thu Vinh, at 24, stands poised to pursue her Olympic medal aspirations in the upcoming years.
Having secured two final appearances, Thu Vinh received rewards totaling 150 million VND, including contributions from former national shooting team head coach Nguyen Thi Nhung and Do Van Binh, Chairman of the Vietnam Shooting Federation.
