New research reveals humans could have as many as 33 senses

Aristotle famously described five senses, but he also believed the universe was made of five elements, an idea modern science has long rejected. Today, research suggests his sensory framework may be just as incomplete. Scientists now believe humans may possess dozens of distinct senses.
