Nyesom Wike, who oversees the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), declared that there will be no leeway for criminals in the capital this December.
He made this announcement in Abuja during the launch of a new 15-kilometre roadway linking Abuja to Lokoja Expressway (A2) at Pai in the Kwali Area Council.
Wike revealed that arrangements are in place to supply security forces with more operational vehicles to bolster their crime-fighting capabilities during the festive season.
He asserted that offenders would face stringent actions and would be unable to find refuge.
The minister praised the security personnel for their continuous efforts to enhance the safety of both the city and its surrounding areas.
He emphasized, “We will ensure that criminals will have no breathing space in the FCT throughout this December.”
