A 24-year-old man named Godgift Bai was arrested by the Bayelsa State Police Command for allegedly circulating a nude video of a young woman online.
The suspect, hailing from Ogbolomabiri in Nembe Local Government Area, was apprehended in Yenagoa on September 3, 2024, as stated by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Musa Mohammed.
The arrest was a result of a detailed investigation by the Cyber Crime Unit, following orders from Police Commissioner CP. Alonyenu Francis Idu.
ASP Mohammed stressed the police’s dedication to combating cyberstalking and the exploitation of individuals, particularly the vulnerable, advising against online exploitation.
The suspect is set to face legal proceedings in court.
