An individual named Aisha Abubakar has been apprehended in Katsina State for allegedly facilitating the transportation of ammunition to insurgents.
The occurrence was disclosed on Monday by security analyst and anti-insurgency specialist, Zagazola Makama.
Upon a routine scrutiny of Abubakar’s belongings, the ammunition was uncovered, as per Makama.
Initially, the suspect refuted any association with the unlawful act. Nonetheless, Makama indicated that she later confessed to her involvement.
“She denied it at first but then accepted that she was transferring the ammunition to a terrorist group from Nasarawa state,” as stated by Makama.
Further investigation divulged more information regarding the planned delivery of the ammunition.
In the words of Makama, “She admitted during questioning that her destination was Yan Tumaki in Dan Musa LGA in Katsina state.”
Makama emphasized the importance of this arrest within the wider scope of counter-terrorism endeavors.
“This incident underscores the ongoing measures against terrorism and the significance of alertness in curbing the circulation of illegal arms,” he affirmed.
