Authorities are actively searching for a 30-year-old man, Dominique Giles, accused of assaulting a 5-year-old girl in Staten Island last week.
The incident reportedly occurred on January 22nd at approximately 5:38 a.m. in a home located near Richmond Terrace and Sharpe Avenue in Port Richmond. The victim was known to the suspect, according to police.
After the assault, Giles allegedly left the scene on foot.
The young girl was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center for a medical assessment following the distressing event.
