Basketmouth, a well-known Nigerian comedian, has addressed inquiries regarding his stance on the recent marital issues between 2Face and Annie.
Recently, 2Face revealed his split from Annie, sparking a flurry of discussions on social media, particularly among other celebrities.
In a widely shared Instagram video, Basketmouth expressed that he prefers to stay away from the matter.
Facing questions about his lack of commentary on the situation, he shared that having endured significant public attention during his own divorce in 2022, he wishes to avoid further involvement.
“I’ve received numerous messages asking why I’m not engaging in the discussions about 2Face and Annie’s issues. I’ve known 2Face for 27 years and met Annie 24 years ago,” he stated.
“Firstly, it’s not my place to comment, as I’m not equipped for it. I don’t want to say something that will bring my own past into the spotlight and invite negativity.”
“In this new year of 2025, I aim for a peaceful and stress-free experience. Please, leave me out of it.”
