Beyoncé and Jay Z are obviously both incredibly accomplished entertainers and business moguls, and it looks like they’ve passed their skills and drive down to their daughter, Blue Ivy. Even though she’s still just a kid, this young lady is already making some major moves that are totally noteworthy.
In February 2020, Blue was honored at the 51st NAACP Image Awards for her work on “Brown Skin Girl,” a song she recorded with her mother as well as SAINt JHN and WizKiD. Blue was given the award for outstanding duo, group or collaboration.
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Lawson, praised her granddaughter on Instagram, sharing a photo of Blue along with the caption: “Congratulations BLUE IVY on your NAACP award last night for singing and writing on ‘Brown Skin Girl’ from the Album The Gift. … The youngest artist to win a major award … Grandma is soo proud of you … 8 years old!!!! … You are giving all the beautiful little brown girls a voice.”
The fact that Blue has already accomplished such an amazing feat is surely a sign that we can continue to expect great things from her in the future.
