Bianca Ojukwu Dismisses Rumors of Defecting to APC

Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu

Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, the current Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, has dismissed rumors about her possibly joining the All Progressives Congress (APC). This statement comes despite her position in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

While addressing reporters during President Tinubu’s brief visit to Anambra State, she reaffirmed, “I am a key member of the Board of Trustees of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, and I have no plans to switch parties.”

She emphasized that the President’s visit reflects his commitment to inclusivity, highlighting that he represents all Nigerians, irrespective of their political party, ethnicity, or beliefs.

Bianca also expressed APGA’s support for Tinubu’s re-election campaign in 2027.

She remarked, “The President’s visit to Anambra is significant, showcasing his generous approach to politics.”

“It illustrates his inclusive spirit, underscoring that he is a president for everyone in Nigeria, regardless of their political allegiance, tribe, or creed.”

Furthermore, she noted that President Tinubu was notably impressed by the projects he inaugurated in Awka, which were carried out under Governor Charles Soludo’s administration.

She mentioned, “He inaugurated the largest building in the Nnamdi Azikiwe University complex, Solution Fun City, and the expansive Government House of Anambra State, comprised of nearly 57 structures.”

“He appreciated the significant efforts of the governor during his initial term, noting it as the ‘power of one man’ to highlight the governor’s vision and dedication to delivering results.”

“The governor had an agenda, a vision with a clear timeline, and today’s events prove unequivocally that he has achieved that vision.”
