A 36-year-old bodybuilder tragically passed away after encountering a blood clot while in the final stages of preparing for an upcoming competition.
Cintia Goldani, hailing from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, reportedly lost her life to complications arising from pneumonia, a condition she developed.
“With great pain and sadness, I hereby inform you of the demise of Professional Figure Athlete @cintiagoldanipro due to complications from pneumonia,” the account shared in a message on Instagram.
“Cynthia was an angel in human form. God needed backup in heaven.”
Despite being rushed to the hospital, Ms. Goldani passed away as a consequence of the blood clot.
Well-known for her involvement in the “Figure” category of the Muscle Contest female bodybuilding event, she was gearing up to participate in a competition in her homeland the following month.
She secured the 10th position in the “Figure” category at the Brazilian competition the previous year, as noted by BarBend.
Cynthia had also been promoting an “amateur bodybuilding event” in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil on October 12.
Gustavo Cesar GC, Ms. Goldani’s partner, paid tribute to her on Instagram.
“This is the last photo I have of you on my phone, and this is how I want to always remember you!” the fellow Brazilian bodybuilder penned.
“Smiling happily and exuding that amazing energy, you were the most wonderful person I’ve ever encountered in the world!
“I wish I could express my gratitude for everything you’ve done for me, but I will express my thanks each day as I witness the sunset … Thank you Cíntia, your essence is pure unconditional love, and God desired you closer to Him, away from the negativity of this world. I wanted to be there alongside you, cherishing joy just as we always did.”
