“The latest batch has brought to 690 the total of stranded Nigerians returned to Lagos in five flights since February through the International Organisation of Migration (IOM)-assisted programme.”
NEMA said that the returnees had been vetted and were in good health.
“Three of the women had medical cases, but they have all been discharged and are now recuperating,” Ahmed said.
“The majority of the returnees are women, with a few men also among the group.”
Nigerians who were stranded in Libya have been repatriated.
