President Bola Ahmed Tinubu extended his sympathies to the former Governor of Borno, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, following the passing of his mother, Hajja Aisa.
Hajja Aisha passed away in Abuja on Sunday after a long illness at the age of 93.
Her burial is scheduled for today, Monday, at the family home of the late Galadima Modu Sheriff on Damboa Road in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
In a statement released on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the President offered condolences to the Modu Sheriff family.
He encouraged the Sheriff family to find solace in the fact that the deceased led a life of virtue and passed away at the age of 93.
“The president prays for Allah to grant the departed Aljannat Firdausi and provide comfort to her family,” Ngelale expressed.
