Characters Jannah and Lando appeared in the recently-released ‘Star Wars’ film, ‘The Rise of Skywalker’
As a newcomer to the Star Wars universe, fans learned that Naomi Ackie’s character, Jannah, was a former stormtrooper who deserted after having a “feeling.” During a later conversation with Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams), the character asks where he’s from.
Jannah reveals that she doesn’t know where she’s from because she was abducted by the First Order. Lando then says, “Well, let’s find out…” It’s unclear if Lando and Jannah are actually connected. However, these characters may be more connected than meets the surface.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the Rise of Skywalker Visual Dictionary reads, “When peace reigned, [Lando] attempted to start a family, but tragedy struck and his infant daughter vanished. It was only later that it became clear who the culprits behind the abduction were: the First Order, building their fighting forces but also specifically striking out at the old Alliance leadership.”

Some fans think a Jannah and Lando spin-off could be coming to Disney’s streaming platform
Could Jannah and Lando actually be related somehow? Could Lando be Jannah’s father? All of these questions started circulating after The Rise of Skywalker premiered. As a result, some fans are wondering if there will be more movies featuring these two rebels.
Unfortunately, The Rise of Skywalker is the last movie in the Skywalker Saga, meaning there will be no more movies featuring beloved characters like Rey, Kylo Ren, Princess Leia, and Finn. However, there is the possibility of a spin-off television series, thanks to the Walt Disney Company’s subscription service, Disney+.

There are other Star Wars series’ available on Disney+?
It is a possibility that more live-action Star Wars series could appear on Disney’s streaming platform. At its launch date, Disney+ came with a slew of original television shows. That includes the first-ever Star Wars live-action series, The Mandalorian, which has since been renewed for its second season.
Most recently, season 7 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars joins the Disney+ streaming library. Premiering this on Feb. 17, 2020, this is an original season of The Clone Wars, which has not yet been available to viewers.
However, there is no news from Disney or Lucasfilm regarding a Jannah and Lando spin-off. Not yet, anyway. In response to an Instagram post from co-star John Boyega, Naomi Ackie wrote, “Love you… Imma see you real soon. I have a Feeling.”
Episodes of The Mandalorian are available on Disney’s streaming platform. To learn more about Disney+ and to subscribe, visit their website.
