Pascal Okechukwu, known as Cubana Chief Priest, has clarified that the individual who received $30,000 from Burna Boy in a viral video is not his brother, which had been widely misunderstood.
The artist offered this financial aid to a phone repair technician who previously gained notoriety for stating he was financially struggling despite being linked as a sibling to Cubana Chief Priest during their online disputes.
Content creator Lucky Uduh shared a video over the weekend showcasing that Burna Boy upheld his promise, providing the identified individual with $30,000.
In response, Cubana Chief Priest confirmed that the recipient of the money isn’t his brother, highlighting that he has one biological brother and two sisters who are doing well.
He further mentioned that he does not feel obliged to assist his siblings financially.
On his Instagram story, he expressed, “Alleged brother! Skit makers are oppressors. They have brought him down, and you still have to lower him more because the struggles must affect everyone. However, I just want to be sure my village boy actually received it. It’s still about my own success.
“Show your work; you could at least give him a musical feature. I have one biological brother and two younger sisters. They’re doing fine.
“Regardless, I owe them nothing; my finances are my own. Everyone should hustle for their own.”
