Sure, you can get noticed by BTS while on social media. Seeing them in real life is another story. It might’ve been easier when they weren’t the biggest boy band in the world. However, there are still chances to meet this K-pop group while they’re on the Map of the Soul stadium tour or promoting Map of the Soul: 7.
Here’s our look into “fan sign” events, VIP tickets for BTS, and other ways to meet these K-pop idols.
Does BTS do ‘Meet and Greet’ events?
If you’ve been one of the lucky fans to meet this K-pop group, chances are, it’s been at a “fan sign” event. These meet-ups give fans the chance to chat with the idols and some clips even show the boys holding hands with fans and accepting small gifts. (Jimin in a flower crown? Yes, please.)
As the boys grew in popularity, these “meet and greet” events became less and less frequent. They’ve understandably become pretty busy, recently releasing their album Map of the Soul: 7 and doing interviews across the globe.
This spring, they embark on their Map of the Soul tour, making stops at The Rose Bowl, MetLife Stadium, the Toyko Dome, and Seoul’s Olympic Stadium. Unfortunately for international army, the group doesn’t do fan meet and greets outside of Korea. Not yet, anyway.
(Some websites report that this could eventually be a possibility, as the boys have gradually been improving their English, showcasing it during interviews in the United States and beyond.) Still, there are a few ways for fans to get pretty close to this K-pop group.
There are VIP seats available for BTS’ international tour
If you want to see these boys perform up close and personal, your best bet is buying VIP tickets for their Map of the Soul tour. With this package, attendees are able to see the boy band’s soundcheck live, before the massive stadium crowd files in.
These are also the closest fans to the stage, in the “floor seats” section, so your chances of getting noticed are pretty high. Some fans report wearing the “LINE friends” character of each member help to stand out in the crowd.
BTS does press events in the United States
If you don’t mind sleeping on the streets overnight, you can get pretty close to BTS when they’re doing interviews in the United States. Fans appeared in the crowd for when the K-pop group was on The Late Late Show with James Corden and The Today Show, both events promoting Map of the Soul: 7.
BTS’ next appearance is on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, premiering on Feb. 24, 2020. Though they haven’t made anything official, fans expect them to continue doing press as they embark on their worldwide tour for Map of the Soul: 7.
Music by BTS, including their recently released album, Map of the Soul: 7, is available for streaming on music platforms like Spotify. To learn more about BTS’ upcoming tour, visit their website.
