You Served As Education Minister Two Term Governor But Couldnt Build (via Primetweets)

Omoyele Sowore, a prominent Nigerian activist and leader of the #RevolutionNow movement, has criticized Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, over his son’s graduation celebration in the UK.

Sowore, who previously ran for president in the 2023 elections as a candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC), took to social media to express his disapproval of Wike’s pride in his son’s academic achievement abroad. He pointed out that Wike, who served for four years as Nigeria’s Minister of Education, failed to establish a proper school for his own children.

Additionally, Sowore highlighted Wike’s extensive political career, including eight years as Governor of Rivers State and two terms as a local government chairman, yet he did not manage to create educational facilities satisfactory enough for his kids. Sowore condemned Wike, calling his situation “a shame.”

Wike recently shared on social media, “Happy to witness, alongside my wife, the graduation ceremony of our son, Jordan, who just earned a Master of Laws (LLM) Degree at the Queen Mary University of London, UK. As a father, I am happy for the progress Jordan is making in the pursuit of his career.”

In response, Sowore remarked, “You were governor for eight years in Rivers State, one of Nigeria’s wealthiest states. You looted the state dry and couldn’t build a single school where your children could earn a Master’s in Law. What a Crying Shame!

“Nyesom Wike has held various positions, including Ex-local government Chairman (two terms), Ex-Minister of Education (4 years), Ex-Governor of Rivers State (two terms-8 years), and Current FCT Minister, yet he could not construct a school adequate for his children to attend, forcing them to pursue education in the UK with misappropriated funds.”
