Ekweremadu’s Spouse Freed from UK Prison and Returns Home to Nigeria

Beatrice Ekweremadu, spouse of former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, has returned to Nigeria after her release from a UK prison.

It’s noted that she arrived in Nigeria on Tuesday.

Senator Ekweremadu, along with Mrs. Ekweremadu and Dr. Obinna Obeta, faced sentencing in the UK for their roles in an organ trafficking case. Senator Ekweremadu received a 10-year sentence, while his wife was sentenced to six years.

Mrs. Ekweremadu’s return has sparked celebrations in Enugu State, where many residents are hopeful for the timely return of her husband.
