Joseph Brendan, a software engineer from Nigeria, has shared advice directed at women, urging them to embrace a stubborn attitude to avoid hardship.
He noted that he has yet to encounter a successful Nigerian woman who hasn’t displayed a degree of stubbornness.
“As a Nigerian woman, make it a point to be stubborn. Every high achiever I know has been stubborn,” he stated in a recent post.
“Quit always smiling and being agreeable; instead, cultivate a stubborn streak. I’ve observed this with my sisters—they’ve earned what’s rightfully theirs by not being passive.“
“It’s common for many Nigerian men to underestimate women’s abilities. It’s essential to showcase your capabilities assertively.”
“Know when to smile and when to be serious. Otherwise, you may face struggles akin to being treated poorly.”
