Adedayo Odeniru, a journalist and advocate in Osun, has cautioned women against having too many children.

He believes that the longevity of caregiving may eventually lead to women needing to lone-parent when their partners pass away, become irresponsible, or suffer health setbacks.

His remarks, shared on Facebook, pointed out that if parents pass away, older siblings might be compelled to assume the responsibility of caring for their younger ones.

Odeniru encouraged women to consider their own lives instead of merely focusing on childbearing. He emphasized the importance of women having their own successes and independence.

“Ladies, it is wise to limit the number of children you have. Please consider the various implications closely,” he stated.

1. What if you must shoulder the responsibility alone? Partners can die, act irresponsibly, or become ill.

2. Managing multiple children can disrupt your own life balance for an extended time. It’s crucial to have personal goals and achievements beyond motherhood. Don’t simply prioritize breeding!

“I believe you are meant for more than solely raising children! Reflect on your own needs before engaging in reckless reproduction!”
