Based on bestselling Swedish author Håkan Nesser’s book trilogy of the same name, Intrigo: Dear Agnes serves as the second film in the trilogy, an intense thriller about good friends and evil deeds. With the death of her husband, Agnes is desperate for money. Then she runs into her old friend Henny (Gemma Chan, Captain Marvel), who is enraged at her unfaithful spouse, Peter (Jamie Sives, Chernobyl). Henny makes Agnes a shocking offer—enough cash to live a better life if she will murder Peter—leading to an explosive, unforgettable climax.

The film stars Juri (Blade Runner 2049) as Agnes, Chan (The Eternals) as Henny, and Jamie Sives (Chernobyl) as Peter. It will also feature Cal MacAninch, Jason Wong, John Sessions, Laurie Kynaston, and Predrag Bjelac.

The anthology of three films portray intimate portraits of crime linked by themes of murderous intents, exposed lies, buried secrets, revenge, atonement, and pasts coming back to haunt those who thought they had escaped them; all set against the stunning European backdrop of Maardam. Starring Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Schindler’s List), Gemma Chan (Crazy Rich Asians, Captain Marvel), Andrew Buchan (All the Money in the World), and Jeff Fahey (Lost, Justified), the Intrigo films are mysterious thrillers filled with twists that examine the darkest and most complex recesses of human nature.
