Father of Imprisoned Gospel Artist Calls for Compassion and Freedom

Father of Arrested Gospel Singer Appeals for Son’s Release

Timilehin Ajayi, a gospel artist accused of murdering a fellow corps member, Salome Adaidu, has his father calling for his freedom. Ajayi was apprehended with Adaidu’s severed head inside a plastic bag and is currently held at a Nasarawa State High Court.

The shocking event took place in Agwan Sarki, a locality adjacent to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). While Salome’s family is in mourning, Ajayi’s father is seeking his son’s release in an interview with Channels Television.

“I want the government to assist me in resolving this situation. I ask for them to help me plead for his release,” he stated. Conversely, Ajayi’s mother mentioned she is leaving the matter to governmental authorities.

“If the situation were reversed and one of my daughters were harmed, I can only imagine how I would feel,” she expressed. “The government has the power to act as they choose; it is all in their hands.”

In the course of his questioning, Ajayi, who is also known as a motivational speaker on TikTok, admitted to the crime. In a viral clip, he shared that he had been in a relationship with Adaidu for a year before her death, claiming a dispute escalated to violence when she allegedly attempted to stab him.

Ajayi, who rose to fame with his 2020 album “God of the Earth,” stated that other parts of Adaidu’s body were located at his home. Meanwhile, her remains have been laid to rest, with a viral video capturing the somber burial attended by mourners.
