Former Nigerian Governor Peter Obi Responds to Clergymen’s Requests to Acknowledge Election Defeat as God’s Will

Peter Obi has strongly declared that he won the 2023 presidential election and will not accept calls from religious leaders to accept the loss as God’s will. During his appearance on Arise TV’s ‘The Morning Show’, Obi stated that what these people are preaching is the problem of Nigeria – accepting wrongdoing and using God’s name in vain. He continued to say that God’s wish is for people to do the right thing, not to accept injustice and corruption. Obi also noted that if the laws had been followed, no one would have challenged the process and it would have been concluded quickly. He concluded by saying that he wants God to allow people to do the right things so they can build a better country for their children.
