Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who leads the All Progressives Congress (APC), has announced a financial aid of ₦20 million for the families of police officers from Kano who tragically died in an accident while serving in Edo State during the recent gubernatorial election.

During a visit to the bereaved families in Bichi town, Kano, Ganduje expressed his condolences and support for those affected.

The former Kano State governor shared his sorrow over the tragic loss, stating, “We come not to celebrate, but to extend our sympathies to the families, the Inspector General of Police, and the wider Kano community for our fallen heroes who lost their lives on a national duty two weeks ago.”

He emphasized the importance of supporting grieving families and highlighted the party’s commitment to standing by them during such difficult times.

Ganduje remarked, “This incident is a profound loss, not just for the police but personally for me and the entire nation, as five officers died on the spot and ten others were injured.”
