The suspension on Arik Air’s flight operations has been lifted by the Tinubu-led government.
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, made the announcement on Thursday.
Arik Air had its planes grounded for more than a week before the decision was reversed.
Although official reports indicated that only four planes were affected by a court order, sources revealed that all of Arik Air’s aircraft were impacted by the suspension.
Reports suggest that the grounding affected the airline’s three operational planes and one standby aircraft.
Upon the minister’s instructions, the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) prevented the Arik Air planes from taking off.
Contrary to the belief that Arik Air had additional planes in operation, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) acknowledged the grounding of the aircraft.
