Hamas Leader in Lebanon Killed in Israeli Airstrike
The recent death of Fateh Sherif Abu el-Amin, the Hamas leader based in Lebanon, has been confirmed following an Israeli airstrike. He was killed along with his family members, including his wife and two children.
This incident occurred when Israeli forces struck their residence in a Palestinian refugee camp situated in Tyre, southern Lebanon. According to sources from Reuters, this was a targeted action.
In response, Hamas released a statement expressing their grief and condemning the attack as an “escalation of Israel’s aggression.”
Additionally, reports from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) indicate that three of their leaders were killed in a separate airstrike in the Kola area of Beirut, marking the first such incident within the capital.
They stated, “Three of our top officials were martyred in this unprovoked assault.”
As of now, the Israeli military has not responded to inquiries regarding these airstrikes.
It is noteworthy that Israeli airstrikes have been ongoing, targeting significant militant figures, raising concerns that this escalating conflict could involve major global powers like Iran and the United States.
