Christmas is a time for giving. Harry Styles has had an amazing holiday season because his fans have given him some of the greatest honors any artist could want. Here’s what he’s recently accomplished and the message he wants to share with his fans.

Harry Styles breaks major record
Billboard reports Styles reached an incredible career milestone – a number-one album. His sophomore album, Fine Line, became the number-one album on the Billboard 200 during its first week of release. Amazingly, this isn’t the first time Styles has been in this situation. In 2017, his self-titled debut record also reached the peak position on the chart.
Ever since One Direction broke up, fans and critics alike have compared its former members. Styles has now separated himself from his former group through his achievements. According to Billboard, Styles has achieved something his former bandmates haven’t – he’s now the first male British solo artist to debut at number-one with their first two albums. The only other British male solo artist to debut at number one with their first album was Styles’ former bandmate Zayn Malik.
Fine Line had one of the best debut weeks this year in terms of sales. Billboard says the album sold an equivalent of 478,000 units. By comparison, the only two albums to have a better week were Lover by Taylor Swift, with 869,000 copies sold, and Hollywood’s Bleeding by Post Malone, with 489,000.
Harry Styles’ unique time at the top

The success of Fine Line is especially impressive given the performance of the singles from the album. So far, Billboard reports only one song from Fine Line – the cross-genre anthem “Lights Up” – has reached the top 20 of the Hot 100. This is very odd, as huge hits are usually the driving force behind a number-one album.
Fine Line hasn’t produced major hits, it’s produced several minor ones. This week, Style’s tracks “Adore You,” “Watermelon Sugar,” “Falling,” “Lights Up,” “ Sherry,” “Golden, and “She” are all on the Hot 100. Styles is now the former One Direction member with the most starting solo songs. Malik previously held the record with seven.
The buzz surrounding Styles is extremely strong. Styles reached the top of Billboard‘s Artist 100 chart. Rounding out the top five are fellow industry giants Post Malone, Blake Shelton, Billie Eilish, and the late Juice Wrld.
What does Liam Payne think of all this?

Although Styles and Liam Payne don’t belong to the same band anymore, Payne was still happy for Styles. Yahoo! Entertainment reports he tweeted “Massive congrats H, on becoming the first UK Male artist to debut at No.1 with your first two albums! What an achievement, you must be over the moon.”
Styles has reached the pinnacle of the music industry. He’s grateful for his success. According to Billboard, Styles tweeted “Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas time. Thank you for all the support this year, I love you. See you in 2020. Treat People With Kindness. H.”
