In Season 3 of Very Cavallari, Kristin Cavallari brought up the possibility of Jay Cutler launching a career in sports broadcasting. Cutler said he explored the option, but didn’t find the right fit. “One wants me to do some studio stuff, but I don’t really want to do that,” Cutler, who would rather be a game analysis in the broadcast booth, told Cavallari (via the New York Post).
Cavallari brought up the idea of Cutler getting a job once before, encouraging him to open up a butcher shop aptly called “Cuts.” The reality star told Cutler, “Like, how fun would it be for you to have an office to go to every day.”
A source told Page Six that Cavallari was frustrated with Cutler’s lack of a job after he retired from the NFL in 2017, claiming, “She was growing increasingly impatient with him. He was supposed to take this big job at Fox Sports and have a life after football that would get him up off the couch and do something.” They added, “Instead, he backed out — this is [three] years ago — and joined the [Miami] Dolphins. That didn’t pan out well, and he was left with no TV gig until she got the show for them.”
The insider said Cavallari found Cutler to be “lazy” and “unmotivated,” while she viewed herself as “very polished and put together.”
Who knows, maybe it was for the best these two split up.
