Hilda Dokubo
Actress and politician, Hilda Dokubo, refuted claims of her suspension from the Labour Party in Rivers state, dismissing allegations of financial misconduct, abuse of office, and breach of party regulations.
A letter signed by the party’s ward executives had indicated her suspension, but Dokubo debunked these reports on Instagram, expressing gratitude for her upbringing and decrying attempts to tarnish her reputation.
She criticized the dissemination of false information by “paid media” and emphasized that she was never suspended from the Labour Party. Dokubo accused individuals affiliated with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of orchestrating the defamation campaign against her.
In a video shared on social media, she highlighted her unblemished reputation in Nollywood and international organizations, underscoring her commitment to integrity and honor in her work.
Dokubo urged her supporters to stay focused amid distractions, denouncing coercion and bribery attempts. She clarified her role in the Labour Party as the chairman of Rivers state, emphasizing that she was not involved in financial matters at the ward level.
Despite facing challenges, Dokubo remained resolute in her dedication to serving the party and advancing its agenda.
