The Veteran Yoruba actress Margaret Bamidele Olayinka popularly known as Iya Gbongan revealed how she was attacked for playing the role of a witch in Late Yekini Ajileye’s movie, “Koto Orun” during an interview with ‘Jopagogo TV” where she shared her challenges as leader of wicked witches in movies.
The legendary movie witch whose appearance in movies sends chills after watching any of her movies while growing up because she has a way of making witchcraft appears real narrated how playing the movie Koto Orun nearly took her life.
According to the actress, she almost lost her life after the production of Koto Orun, where she played leader of a group of wicked witches. “I was confronted about five days after production in my dream during siesta after the production of Koto Orun.
She said the women flogged her for declining to join them and for revealing their mode of operation in the movie with her perfect acting. They questioned her on how she got to know how witches behave while she was sleeping in the afternoon. She concluded that she has been through a lot of challenges as a legendary witch in movies. She said she was eventually treated in Osogbo by her paternal uncle when she started feeling sick after waking up from her dream.
Honestly, it is hard to believe that this woman is not a witch in real life because she acted the role so perfectly. All hands up for the movie legend, Iya Gbonkan!!
