Ibrahim Chatta, a renowned actor and director from Nigeria, recently addressed the perception that he is not recognized enough in the film industry.

During his recent interview on the ‘Talk To B’ podcast, Chatta proudly claimed that he is among the top earners of Yoruba-speaking actors in Nigeria.

“Many people say that Ibrahim Chatta is underrated. I disagree. I am one of the highest-paid Yoruba actors in Nigeria,”
he stated.

Reflecting on his early days in entertainment, he shared how he began as a behind-the-scenes contributor, producing jingles and music for over 400 projects.

His hard work and determination, according to him, were crucial to his achievements in the industry.

“I took on responsibilities because I knew it would help me grow stronger.

“Once, I assured my mother that I was doing well and that she didn’t need to send me food,” he continued. “In reality, I wasn’t doing as well, so I worked briefly as a bus conductor to send food home to my parents, reassuring them of my well-being.”

“Eventually, I was fortunate to start writing and composing soundtracks for movies, contributing to over 400 films and creating jingles for numerous firms,” he added.

“At that time, I was not yet known as an actor. I had studios in Ikeja and other locations. I dedicated myself to writing and performing in studios,” he recalled.
