Actress Yinka Solomon is currently receiving myriad of wishes from different angles of the industry after her announcement on Sunday, April 19th about the arrival of her new car.In her Instagram post (modified), Olayinka said, “Thanks so much baby mi, Alhamdulillah, grateful heart.” Attached with this post, is a picture of herself and a white car in the Mercedes Benz series.
While the identity of ‘her baby’ that gifted her the car remain undisclosed, Olayinka’s fans, colleagues and well-wishers have taken to her page to celebrate the latest achievement. The actress who was formerly married to colleague, Ibrahim Chatta is prominent for her exceptional delivery in Salewa Sagbere and Iya Oja.
In 2019, Olayinka joined the league of landlords in Lagos. She divulged the information through her social media platform, Instagram. Because of the several reactions the house’s celebration attracted on social media and series of queries about her source of income, Olayinka explained in an interview that, ” I have been a landlady for a long time; I have some properties in my name. I actually bought this house; it was even a friend of mine that uploaded the picture on my behalf initially. I didn’t mean to show off.”
Olayinka Solomon was in a relationship with Ibrahim Chatta and the union produced a child, Malik in 2008. She later divorced and accused Chatta of wife battery.
When Ibrahim was asked if he had ever raised his hand against his wife in 2018, he said on a TV program that, “No I did not! I granted an interview to somebody and he asked a question; have you ever hit a woman before? I said yes, ONCE! She slapped me first , it was Olayinka Solomon (Iya Malik)”
It is imperative, however, to note that both parties have moved on a long time ago as they continue to pursue excellence and progress in their chosen fields. Olayinka is a practicing Muslim with an active career in the film industry.
