Iyabo Ojo’s Painful Revelations
Renowned Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has bravely shared her experiences of being a victim of sexual assault on five separate occasions.
During an interview with Biola Bayo on her talk show, Talk to B, Ojo provided insight into her traumatic past and asserted her strong opposition to sexual violence.
She also discussed the challenges within her family, particularly about her father’s struggle with addiction, which contributed to his early demise at just 49 years old.
In her reflections, Ojo mentioned her upbringing, stating that her grandmother raised her, and she only met her mother when she turned seven.
Ojo expressed, “I was r*ped five times in my life. It’s concerning how many individuals defend such actions. Regardless of who it is, even if it’s my son, I will hold him accountable without hesitation.
“I’ve never encountered Naira Marley in person. The time I struggled was when I declared that I wanted to marry him, which led to a fallout with my father.
“My father struggled with substance abuse, which had a devastating impact on him, leading to his death at the age of 40.
“There are claims from Mohbad’s father about wanting a DNA test, and the court has agreed to this. I’m only hearing one perspective, specifically from Wunmi. When I followed up recently, she mentioned that he has conditions regarding this.
“A colleague of mine even implied that I might be involved in Mohbad’s death, which is why I’m currently facing her in court.”
