You may be wondering if Jennifer Lopez knew if Alex Rodriguez was going to propose or not, but the more pressing question seems to be how she knew he was the one. That’s right; there can be ‘a one’ even if you’ve had one before. Celebrities are known for being in more than one high-profile relationship during their time in the spotlight, and JLo is no exception. It seems her relationship with A-Rod might really be the one though if her recent behavior is any indication.
Jennifer Lopez’s dating past
Take a look back at Lopez’s past, and you’ll see a slew of famous lovers. She’s been linked to rapper and producer Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs (1999-2001) and was thought to be involved with rapper Drake at one point before dating A-Rod. She was also engaged to actor Ben Affleck (2002-2004), creating the famous “Bennifer” moniker.
And there was also back up dancer Cris Judd, who she married in 2001 after hooking up with him immediately after her split with Diddy. That marriage lasted less than a year.
Lopez was married before him, in 1997 to waiter Ojani Noa, who people barely remember.
Perhaps her most famous relationship was with Marc Anthony. They got married in 2004 after her breakup with Affleck and had twins in 2008. While they divorced three years later, they remain friends.
Her relationship directly before A-Rod was with Casper Smart, another backup dancer. They dated from 2011 to 2016.

Rodriguez and Lo[ez have known each other since they met at a baseball game in 2005, but they didn’t become a couple until much later. They made their red carpet debut in May 2017 at the Met Gala but had been seeing each other since February of that year.
By the summer, he had swept her off her feet. They share a lot of the same interests, too, as they both have strong work ethics and family values. They recently purchased a home together, and he proposed in early 2019. Both have kids the same age, and everyone seems to get along well.
People seem to love the couple, and he certainly does his fair share of supporting her, as any good partner should. He’s been with her on her “It’s My Party” tour and seems to give her the strong shoulder she needs in a relationship.
There’s even a video shared on Lopez’s YouTube of him supporting her after a particularly tough show. It shows just how much he loves her and how much the two mean to each other.
Most recently, after Lopez didn’t win a Golden Globe for her fantastic performance in Hustlers, Rodriguez wrote a sweet public note on Instagram.

Investments equal love
Lopez is no stranger to investments. She’s worth a fortune and is a triple threat as an actress, singer, and dancer. She got her big break in 1997’s Selena and went on to do many more movies.
She has multiple income streams, including hosting, performing, and entrepreneurship opportunities. She even had a Las Vegas residency.
Lopez also makes smart investments and knows when she sees a good thing. She partnered with Kohl’s for her clothing line, the Jennifer Lopez Collection, in 2011 and remains a staple there. She partnered with Zanotti in 2017 to create footwear and tapped into the cosmetics world by partnering with Inglot in 2018.
She released her first perfume, Glow by JLo, in 2003 and has since created more than 20 different fragrances. She’s also dabbled in Acorns, which helps users automate their savings, and NRG Esports, a competitive gaming team.
The latter one was also invested in by her fiance. It’s not the only thing she’s invested in involving A-Rod, though. In 2019, she became a seed investor in TruFusion, his chain of fitness centers. This is big because mixing business and pleasure can often mean disaster.
But she’s also partnered with him on other shared investments, such as his real estate investment firm, and the pair support Project Destined, an organization supporting inner-city kids. Trusting each other on this level shows that she’s also invested in their relationship and that they make a good team, probably one that will last.
