Kano State Administration Turns Down Proposed Tax Reform Legislation

The Kano State Government has strongly rejected the tax reform proposals put forward by President Bola Tinubu.

During the 2025 celebration, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, through Deputy Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, clarified the government’s position.

According to a statement from the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Ibrahim Garba Shu’aibu, Gwarzo stated:
“This tax reform bill does not address our economic issues. Kano State will oppose any policy that harms the welfare of our citizens.”
