Key Political Figures Attend Burial Ceremony of Yar’Adua’s Mother

Vice President Sen Kashim Shettima, former presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, and Labour Party’s Peter Obi were among the attendees at the funeral service for the mother of ex-President Umar Musa Yar Adua on September 3.

Also present were Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and Governor Umar Dikko Radda, alongside other notable dignitaries such as Datti Baba Ahmed, Senator Ahmad Lawal, and emirs from Katsina and Daura.

The funeral prayer took place at the Katsina township stadium, Yar’Adua quarters, led by Sheikh Aminu Yammawa. Late Dada Yar’Adua passed away at the Katsina Teaching Hospital the day before the service.

Hajiya Dada, the mother of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, was recognized for her charisma and significant influence on her son’s life and career. She was also the mother of the late Shehu Musa Yar’adua and Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua.
