A fire incident erupted in the early hours of Christmas Day, with firefighting efforts still in progress well into Boxing Day.
A significant fire occurred at the Federal Institute of Industrial Research (FIIRO) located in Oshodi, Lagos state, close to Cappa Bus Stop.
The outbreak began around midnight on Christmas, and by 4 a.m. on Boxing Day, firefighting operations were still actively being conducted.
Teams from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, along with the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), are working diligently to control the fire and stop it from spreading to nearby structures and offices.
No injuries have been reported from this incident; however, the blaze has resulted in damage amounting to millions of naira.
As of now, the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
