Dr Abidemi Oyaromade
Dr Abidemi Oyaromade, a gynaecologist at Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Gusau, Zamfara State, has been kidnapped by armed individuals.
Reports from AIT indicate that the armed attackers stormed his home at approximately 4 AM on Monday, October 7, taking him to an undisclosed location.
Previously, Oyaromade served as the Head of Clinical Services at Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital from 2016 to 2017. He remained affiliated with that hospital until late 2023, when he transitioned to the Federal Medical Centre.
He is recognized for his significant contributions towards reducing maternal deaths in the region.
