Tragic Death in Niger State Guest House
The Niger State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has reported the sudden death of an unidentified male who collapsed after an intimate encounter with a woman at a local guest house in the Paiko area.
This unfortunate event took place on the evening of Tuesday, October 15, around 8:50 PM.
The guest house, owned by the Paikoro Local Government Area, is near the busy Paiko market along the Paiko-Lapai road and is often utilized by traveling vendors.
SP Wasiu Abiodun, the state Public Relations Officer, confirmed the occurrence. The local police were informed about the incident on the same night, stating that efforts are underway to find the deceased’s family for appropriate arrangements.
In the statement, it was noted: “A case of a sudden death was reported at Paiko Division, where an unidentified male brought a female companion to the lodge, collapsed, and was later pronounced dead at a nearby medical center.”
Investigations are ongoing, and a medical autopsy is pending. Police are actively trying to contact the relatives of the deceased.
A local trader, preferring to remain unnamed, shared that the man lost consciousness while getting dressed post-encounter.
He mentioned, “The woman informed us that he was putting on his trousers when he suddenly fell.”
The woman involved is currently with the police, while the man’s body has been taken to the IBB Specialist Hospital in Minna.
